High oil pressure after OMP removal

I just removed my OMP, oil injectors and BAC Valve last night. I adjusted my idle to 1000 RPM's and now my oil pressure is at about 50 psi (I think it reads psi) at idle. It still only gets to about 65-70 at full throttle which is normal but should my oil pressure at idle be that high? thanx in advance.

Did you do anything with your PCV system?

Also, you should always test oil pressure with a mechanical gauge to rule out a sender problem. The stock senders are fairly reliable, but when they go they go.

The high oil pressure at idle isn't THAT big of a deal - better than low oil pressure!

Did you remove that circular valve off housing that Is sandwiched b'n the OMP and the Engine Itself?

I did, so I can varify that removing that valve (not sure what It's called) will not produce Ill effects. You are supposed to put a plug their or something like that but I just blocked off the opening with a block off plate.

I actually haven't removed the OMp itself yet. All I did was rip out the oil injectors, plugged them, ripped out the oil lines, and replaced the bolts with bolts that didn't have holes in them. I couldn't remove the actual OMP yet because I didn't have a block-off plate made. that will go on ASAP. When do you get a block-off plate at anyways? Thanx

K, just kidding, they do have them listed. I just didn't search hard enough. While we're on the topic of block-off plates, anyone know where to get a BAC Valve block-off plate at?

As long as we're on the subject of K2RD block off plates... someone explain this to me.

When you buy the K2RD block-off plate kit, you save 10 dollars, right? Except, on S5 cars, which don't have a EGR valve, you would actually save $1 by buying the 3 plates separately. What the dilly-o?

I have a question......can I run the BAC without connecting the coolant lines at the front of the BAC? Cause my deceleration is acting weird and I think it's because my BAC is disconnected. Thanx

You can have both lines running to your BAC Valve disconnected of the valve Itself. The lines run through the BAC Valve to defrost/warm It up quicker to optimize It's output fast. Why do you have It disconnected? Are you running your car w/o Power Steering and A/C? If not, put It back on?

I don't have A/C and never had power steering. The coolant lines need to be connected correct? I'm losing coolant after capping the coolant pipes at the block and the water neck. I think I'm losing it from the coolant pipe on the block.

Chris, I have mine going through my BAC still, but you should probably just route that line back into the block straight from the waterpump. because if your cap burst, that would be a big loss.
