High HP vert question

Anyone have a vert pushing significant boosted HP levels, say around 400-500HP? Do you get any noticeable chassis flex? If so what did you do to eliminate it? Custom cage?

I know the 'verts are very stiff, just heavy. I know some people pushing 250-300WHP, and they've never said anything about chassis flex (and they autocross it as well), so... I wouldn't worry too much about it.

The reason I ask is cause I was told by someone with a 20b vert that when the boost kicks in they can feel the chassis flex and that a full cage will prevent that. I plan on pushing around 4-500 hp so I may experience some flex as well.

I would expect anyone pushing more than 350hp to have some flex on a vert if the top was down no matter what.

427 hp. from a 20B with 478 lb./ft. of torque. No observable chassis flex. The other poster who claimed chassis flex may have been experiencing driveline flex. Without a torque brace, my driveline would twist so much that it would break the differential mount and cause the differential to smack the underside of the car. A torque brace solved the problem.

Opinion: If you're getting high horsepower from a two-rotor, the torque won't be high enough to be a problem.

Yeah its gonna be two rotor for now, I figured I wouldn't have enough torque to cause a problem. Once my 13b blows up I'll be going 3 rotor though.

Very nice torque numbers by the way.

In the interest of accuracy, it's 425 at the rear wheels. Allowing for a 15% driveline loss, that's 478 at the flywheel. It really makes a convertible a lot of fun.
