so, my friend and i may trade cars. i have a 95 s10 4.3 5 speed, with 2/3 drop, speed grill, k&n intake, flowmaster 40 series, audiovox 4x6's, 2 kicker comp 10's, stock 6&1/2's profile 600 watt amp, .5 farad cap, tonnao cover, sir michael's rollpan, and brand new paint job. (I need new tires though, but he doesnt know that)

he's got a third gen rx7: koenig rims ($2500), yokohama tires (autocross tires), the fastest motor mazda ever produced (i know its got a b13)(correct me if im wrong about my "fastest motor" statement), 5 speed, coilovers all around, lowered 2 inches, decent system (but no subs), intake, exhaust, k&n, and a 400 SHOT OF NITROUS! also will have it painted WHATEVER COLOR I WANT (needs paint) im sure he has more mods that i've fogotten.

this car is fast as all hell. my truck is nice, and could be nicer, if i do the new tires and 4/5 drop like ive been planning. but damn this car is fast! (and nice) im torn...


im a chevy guy for sure, but cheap speed? i think im more for sheer speed then brand loyalty. opinions on this deal?

If it's a second gen then it's got a 13B not a B13. It not the fastest motor, the fastest motor would have to be the 20B, which is a 3 rotor engine! The 13B is only 2, and the early 3rd generations have the 13b-rew in them which is also the 2 rotor but with diff internals and diff size exhaust ports etc..... Also if it is a 2nd gen do you know if it is turbo or n/a? If it's turbo get it for sure and if its not get it for sure

Well the fastets "13B" is VERY debatable. The 3rd gens has more HP in stock form, but they do run more boost than the 2nd gens, and have a higher comp.

There is not a CHEAP SPEED!!!

Now that we cleared that one up, Rx7 are not just about fast in a straight line, but more so in the twisties.....being fast in a straight line is a added bonus. Make sure that somebody who KNOWS about rotary engines check the car (and am not talking about a Mazda dealer).

Agreed. Pushing 125 is a tad much on stock ports, and 250 is a lot even for ported motors. Unless he has a PP port, there is no way he is using a 400 shot.

Take a pic of his set-up under the hood. I can tell you all about the nitrous system from there.

Engine would not survive a 400 shot, even with a variable rate nitrous control computer.

Not to be mean but you are a ******* moron. FC's and FD's were never meant to be drag cars. Everyone knows on the forum that I am a heavy drifter and a serious F&F hater. Listen your car won't do the greatest in a strait line. However, when it comes to the corners, the FC will out perform just about anything that is in America. Oh and about the 400 shot, your friend is a ******* moron as well. Keep your hick truck and sell it to some sap and buy a FD off someone.

My car does just fine in the straight line. Why wasn;t my car meant for straight line power? Because of the IRS? Funny how the Ford Cobra runs an IRS and the mustang is a well-known drag car.

The IRS was run so the car could handle as well as accelerate in the straight line. The car was given a turbo unit so it could accelerate quickly. My car does great in the straight line.

Only reason someone would complain about their Rx-7 and straight line performance would be an existing lack of performance. I bet you've never even tried to drag your RX-7 at the track...

Your post was rude and unnecessary, like your typical posts. Tell me the point of insulting someone for having an interest in horsepower? He never even mentioned drag racing, did he? That was an assumption by YOU.

It all comes down to this: You just ragged on a guy for asking a simple question about a horsepower equipped RX-7. Just because your car has no power doesn't mean you can rag on everyone else.
