hey i installed a FCD and now the car wont idle less than 2500-3k

hey i made a homemade FCD and now the car wont idle less than 3k...even when i took off the FCD...i just want to know whats the prob, should i mess with the Idle control ? let me know what u guys would do..thanks

vacuum leaks? how would that make it idle higher?

Everywhere a vacuum line is. >.< I found that out the hard way too. Heard a whistle for a while and finally I found it after replacing miles and miles of tubing. :P

usually a vacuum leak does make the motor bog at idle because the vacuum sucks in more air, leaning out the mixture because the ECU doesn't have a clue.

go pop off a big vacuum line and tell me what happens.

Home made FCD??

What exactly did your home-brew electronics consist of and where did you install it?

You must have disturbed something because there's no way adding a "voltage clamp" to the pressure sensor would affect idle at all.

^^^ it's not hard to put together the paul stoaks fcd, to which i'm assuming "home made" refers to.
