Oh Snap! CorkSport FMIC kit finally done!
Hey everyone, I know I have been talking about this thing for about an eon, and I know all of you guys who have been going to SevenStock for the last couple years have been begging me, but a lot of stuff came up and the FC kit sorta went on the back burner for a while. That dang MazdaSpeed3 has been taking all the R&D time!
Anyway, the kit is finally done, and it's available now.
The kit requires removal of the A/C system and you'll either need to use a different battery or relocate it somewhere else. We made a new battery tray that allows the use of a shorter battery if you wanna keep it in the engine bay, and that's included with the kit. The kit features all mandrel bent polished aluminum piping and will fit both the S4 and S5 TIIs. We also include all the brackets, silicone couplers, and clamps you'll need. We're including nice T-Bolt clamps too, none of that screw-clamp garbage
It comes with a full step-by-step instruction manual, written buy a regular English speaking guy (If any of you have ever read an HKS or GReddy instruction manual, you know what I'm talking about) so it's easy to understand, unless of course you don't speak english...
As far as the vitals are concerned the kit uses a 24"x11"x3" core and we have it mounted in such a way that it requires to trimming of the stock bumper. The way the hot pipe is routed also requires removal of the stock airbox. Problem? No! We also include a 90 degree cast AFM adapter for you S4 guys, which is nice and tapered on the inside like the HKS unit, and a filter. This relocates the intake to in front of the passenger side inner fenderwell.
So in essence this is actually more of an FMIC kit, intake, and battery tray all in one. Talk about a deal
Now for everyone's favorite part, and the most asked question: The price. I'm an FC guy too. I've met a lot of you guys over the years at various meets, SevenStock, here at the shop, all over, and the number one thing we can all agree on is that we're usually pretty broke.
So here's what you all wanna know: $799
I hang out on here all the time, so if you guys have any questions about this thing feel free to shoot me a PM. I just totally cleared out my PMs and have plenty of room for new ones. You can also get ahold of me at the shop during the day 10-3 PST at CorkSport.

I only need the pipes. How much? The ebay Pipes I bought are not great and I assume yours are measured and cut to fit prefectly. I especially need the replacement for the small turbo pipe (the 2"diameter pipe that is plastic in S5's and metal in S4's where the BOVs tend to be attached).

Although these pipes are beatiful and shiny, since they are aluminum, it would not be a bad idea to strategically heat wrap some sections of the piping to prevent heatsoak. You don't really have to worry about this if you have a well vented engine bay and good heat shielding on the turbine housing. If you dont know, drive around with a thermometer under your hood and also check and see if the IC pipes have soaked up much/any heat.

If this is post IC, then it might make sense, but since most of the hotter pipes are PRE-IC, who cares?

It doesn't use the 'factory BOV flange'. The kit doesn't start until after the stock turbo-outlet pipe. It retains the stock pipe, allowing you to keep using your stock recirculation valve.

i just read your post about the pipes not being sold separately, please ignore my last PM.
EDIT: If anyone is interested in the CORE ALONE let me know. I want to buy the pipes but no core so the two of us can work something out and corksport doesn't end up with a core with no pipes. I know it's a stretch but the shops with mandrel benders in this area charge an arm and a leg to do the pipes and I need an FC specific kit (my current one is ok, but still doesn't fit right)

GREAT WORK!
Hope you sell a lot of kits. Seems like people always want products made for their platform, but after you spend time and money developing one, people complain and back out.
