I had to cut a little bit at the bottom where that opening is to make it fit. I have those lines also. I used a bremol to cut the coldbox a little. If you have the filter shown in vaughnc post you will need to get two hks adapter plates and the hoses in the pic. and you will also have to cut out a circle just above the big about a quater size so the heater hose goes thru it.
I had the same problem but when i called him I explained that i had the Fipk kit already and they sent me the parts that I needed. Cost me an extra 80 dollars and had to wait about to days for the part to arrive.
The reason why they have it like that is becuase people just wanted the coldbox only. and did not use FIPK Filter they used some other cone filter.

Listen You ppl, something is bad wrong with my car, when i drop in the air box the brackets are about in away, and there is a Metal post going down at an angle that prevents the box from coming forward enough to bolt up, at this point i wish i would have made my own.

I was going to buy the one from Rx7.com but I did not becuase they are made out of fiberglass. I had a friend tell me that it was not worth it. He bought one from Rx7.com and did not like they way it was made.
I called mariahmotorsports and the material is the original headlight cover (metal) not fiberglass thats why I went with this one.

Well, sorry you shelled-out $150 for something that isn't fitting well. I made my own Cold Air Box. It cost $35 and is much better quality.
I can't offer any answers for you about this Mariah product, but if you decide to abandon it and make a better one, let me know. I have a Cold Air Box Build Guide and Template Set available. It's based upon my (actually, my brother's) Cold Air Box design.
Have a look at this thread. Scroll down a bit and you'll see pics of my C.A.B. made of aircraft aluminum with a cover held on with a piano hinge.
