Hesitation is gone... Finally!

Well, I finally got rid of the high RPM hesitation, it's amazing to feel it pull strong to 9000 again!! First time I took it out I almost ran the tach off the scale in first gear because I wasn't expecting it to wind out do fast!! Sweet!
Anyways, all I did was advance the timing to about 12 degrees above stock. I had it there before but that was on differnet injectors.
The only problem is, after having the foot to the floor from 1st gear, by the time it's in fourth, at around 7500 or so (so it's been at full throttle for maybe 25-30 seconds or something, who knows.) The fuel starts to cut out. I saw my O2 voltage drop to .30 from .79. I know my sig says I have a TII fuel pump, but I lie... It's in the storage compartment, I just have to install it.. probably tomowow. I need it!!
Anyways, I'm happy now, I am just wating for the AFC to get here so I can lean out my low throttle.

So what did ya do? Just swap injectors, and advance the timing?

Today i farted around with my car. Checked just about everything with an ohm meter i possiably could. After all is said and done, i think i have a dieing leading coil. And i also need to advance the timing a little more. Ran out of time, because it started snowing on me

Its amazing how much different the car will sound and make power by just changing the timing. When i removed the crank angle censor, i put it back in retarded like a tooth, then just timed it by where it sat before. Bad combo The car ran like absolute crap. No power...infact, i bet a stock ford pinto could of gone out and around me

Say, bambam could you give me a ohm reading on your leading coil? hayes manual says it need to be between .2 to 1 ohms. The two i have read like .001 and 0.

Hopefully this will be the fix for my car. CJ

I run stock heat ranges, and havent had any reason not to. Ill get the coil readings for you tomorrow if you still need them.

I got 0.4 ohms resistance. You have to check the resistance between the terminals on the coil with the - battery cable disconnected, and the spark plug wires removed from the coil. Hope it helps.

Yeah...i removed cable, and wires. Sounds like i need a new one. I'll just run down to the u-pull it, and use my ohm meter and find a good one. CJ

If anyone else wants to check theirs feel free to.
