Hesitation is almost gone
ok, today i worked on my car, swapped the intake, put my ported one on there, blocked off the EGR, put some new fuel injectors and grounded a few things and removed the 6 port system, my redline hesitation almost disappeared, there is still a little because the injector grommets i used on the injectors were a tad too big which im fixing tomorrow, and tomorrow im grounding the MAP sensor and the ECU, can someone tell me which wire on the MAP to ground?? is it the brown wire with black stripe?? thanks for the help, also im gonna try to sell my GSL-SE tomorrow and buy some 225/50/15" Nitto 250R's for my 15" set of rims, and get an exhaust made before i go to the track on saturday, thats IF i get the GSL-SE sold, if not ill run with my stock tires
I was messing around with my car today, and I wanted to reground my MAP sensor. So I pulled the plug and found the brown wire with the black stripe and went looking for some wire and a place to ground it. Well, I got a phone call and I forgot that I had unplugged it. I ended up driving to work and on my way there, I was thinking to myself.... did I plug the MAP sensor back in? Surely I did, cause my car is running the same as it always does, right? Wrong, I got to work and checked the plug and sure enough, it was unplugged. My question is this, why did my car "seem" to run the same as before, with the MAP sensor unplugged?
Obviously still learning about these 2nd gens......

ECU went into default for the boost/pressure sensor? Probably. Similar to what happens if you disconnect the air temp sensor on the dymanic chamber. If you pull the plug off the boost/pressure sensor while idling you will hear a change in the rpm. Put a timing lite on the engine and I'll bet money you'll also see the timing will still advance if you blip the throttle, with the boost/pressure sensor off.
