differences between 88 vs 89 TII
I am ready for boost so I'm looking at TII's. Along with getting the most bang for the buck, what are the differences betweem series 4 & 5 TII's.

Turbo is @ 90 degrees to manifold for better flow
double waste gate design is better
Higher compression ( if you don't know do a search)
lighter rotors ( if you don't know do a search)
different rims design and lighter weight
different computer ( if you don't know do a search)
different sensors ( if you don't know do a search)
different AFM( if you don't know do a search)
slighty more boost ( if you don't know do a search)
More HP ....................( if you don't know do a search)
more torque ( if you don't know do a search)
Momo steering wheel
Heavier......some of the Heaviest RX-7. ( yes includes the 3rd gen)
Electric OMP
different tail lights
different front Bumper
clear signals

OK OK - After an hour searching:
The 87-8 motor made 182hp, the 89-91 made 200.
in 87-88:
clutch-pack LSD that wears out FAST (20-30k isn't unheardof)
rib-case tranny with no 1st gear or reverse synchro
heavier rotors (7k redline)
dual-scroll turbocharger with .86 A/R
itty-bitty little wastegate
smaller IC
flaky ECU
in 89-91
viscous LSD (don't wear out, but don't lockup as well as the clutch pack)
rib-case tranny with 1st gear and reverse synchro
lighter rotors (8k RPM, 7k indicated)
split manifold to turbo with 1.00 A/R
improved wastegate
slightly improved IC
better ECU
86-88 runs 8.5:1 compression rotors
88-91 runs 9.0:1 compression rotors
88+ runs larger exhuast housing on the turbo
-88 doesn't have the extra webbing around the top dowel area on the end plates that is found in the 88+ motors
88+ motors have hardend stationary gears in them
the 88+ has a slightly higher flowing throttle body
