Alright my brother has a 1986 REX and when you start it up it idles a little high and then drops down to normal after a minute of running. Then as soon as it does go down to about 1,200 RPM it will rev it's self it is quit funny but weird when someone comes to look at the car also when you push the button on the end of the TPS all the way in it will stop reving it's self. Does anyone know what it wrong with the car. Thanks in advance.

The high idle when cold is normal, but the revving is not. Adjust the TPS.

 

my car has done funny **** like that . 87 TII stock, i will be driving along normal then some loser pulls up next to me and we start "racing" down the street whenever we are done and i let it go down to idle my rpms bounce up to about 1500-2000 just over and over then i redline it once and it usually stops and drives normal

 

How do you adjust the TPS.

Thats funny drox put click here and it takes you to search. Oh, wait o it's not funny I already tried searching the forum do you know what happens when you put in TPS it brings up every thread with a T,P, and S and I don't think antone has a thread on how to set the TPS.
