Help! TPS problem?

I have an 88 Rex, and it is making the intake BRAAP which others have had trouble with. I looked at the actuator (?) which is on what I think is the TPS (the black box with three wires coming out?) and when past fairly light throttle it is no longer in contact with the foot on the throttle, therefore light acceleration is possible, but the problem is worse/more immediate when I floor the accelerator. I'm not sure if the actuator or whatever it is called is supposed to reamain touching this "foot" or not even under WOT. I have not tested the TPS resistance yet. The car seems to idle fine which is why I don't suspect a vacuum leak, plus most of the vacuum lines look fairly new.

Thanks in advance.

I disconnected the TPS w/ no noticeable change. Could this be from a bad O2 sensor or clogged Cat?

I checked compression w/boinger tester and w/engine slightly warm. rotor 1; 50, 60, 70. rotor 2; 45, 60, 65. This is with no throttle applied.

You need to test with WOT, of you will get bogus readings, but as tested; your motor is wasted.

You should have at least 90 per rotor face while cranking with WOT.

Do you know how to do the test properly for your rotary?

I did it right (had check valve open) except I didn't hold it at WOT for the test, I guess.
