HELP! (As to save forum space, all problems listed under one thread)

Alright, ive been having some problems and i think some of them could be related. So here goes

I had a greddy auto timer and it worked fine for a year, the only odd problem being that it would boot itself off and turn back on whenever i put the car into reverse or put the power windows down. Then one day it stopped workin, so i unplugged the timer from the system and magically my car alarm and boost guage started working (which never worked before) Also during its demise, i noticed that randomly the car would turn itself on and off at its own will. Not the engine, but the accesories, stereo, neon interior lights etc. Then i would go to start the car and it would be very hard to start, like its flooded, and when it finally starts the tach will stop working after about 1 second of the engine starting.

Then the starter. Whenever trying to start the car it will just "click" the starter relay for a few tries. then finally when it catches and rotates the starter, it wont stay at normal cranking rpm's. It will jump around, slow down, speed up, stall, then just sit at a slow crank speed untill i try again. Also it will start grindin against the flywheel. The starter is only a few months old.

Last but not least, my car is having a sort of (rev limiter?) problem for lack of a better way to describe it. Randomly during warm up and norm. opp temp. (not when cold) the engine will just stop at an rpm much like a rev limiter for a few seconds, then return to normal. Much like "vmmmmmm-ga-ga-ga-ga-ga-ga-ga-vmmmmm"

Thanks alot for ANY help!

My car goes vroooom gagagagagagagagaga STALL...click click click click click click click click click click...Damn...if you find the anser to that one let me know!!! Someone mentioned that it could be the emissions control stuff...like the exhaust...I don't think this is related to your problems...

I don't know much about electrical systems...but what I do know is that your problems sound like they are being caused by wires crossing somewhere...

LOL, Well at least you guys are maintaining your sense of humor with broke-dick cars...Fusion-turbo, your problem is most likely wiring that was cut/moved/grounded,etc...while hooking up the auto timer- try to put everything back to the way it was...

hey white 87 13b does yours do that vroom gaga thing randomly or is it predictdable? The only thing i know about mine is that it wont happen untill the engine temp guage starts to rise. Yea i wouldnt doubt there being electrical mis-wirings, thats what i get for getting it wired by non-rotary experianced dudes. But the starter and the rev limiter problems are my main concern right now... my car hesitating in an intersection with a semi screaming my name is not a pleasant thought!

water thermo sensor- check the plug (green one) on it for cracking, check the sensor for resistance per FSM...that'll act like a fuel cut when it starts to go...

I hear ya! Mine are predictable...I believe that it is either my TPS or my wiring from the EGI Unit...we will see..It's one thing at a time. Mine is anytime I haul *** and floor the gas pedal...

Update: could the starter problem be a battery apmerage problem? The starter will grind the flywheel only when its doing the inconsistant cranking deal. Maybe when its cranking inconsistanly its also not shooting out the retracive arm all of the way

Ive got the same problem. I fixed it once by installing a thicker gauge wire in the turbo harness. But the problem comes back. I will post when I fix it permanently.

Your last problem sounds like a TPS problem.. I cant say what the starter problem is.. Possible you got a bad starter.
