Unhappy Help!!! Ridiculous high oil pressure! NA 88

So I just finished swapping an new motor (na 88 engine with 80k orininal) into my daily driver 86 rx7 and it went very smoothly. Started up on first turn over real quick. Now here is the problem. It has a ridiculously high oil pressure reading. Like the oil pressure is maxing out the gauge. And I'm pretty sure its not over filled. I drained the old oil and poured in only 4.5 qts. Enough to safely drive it a two miles home. Kinda want to figure this out quickly because the fuel line ruptured and started a fire. So while I replace the harness and hoses I want to fix the oil pressure issue.

Most likely a bad sensor/wiring/gauge...

I'm not sure what would cause actual higher than normal oil pressure..

I thought that too but I wanted to check before I jumped to conclusions. It was really weird because almost instantly after start up it would jump straight to maxed out. Pretty sure it's the sensor because everything else was working fine with the old engine and it's old sensor.

^ Maybe that's why mine has always read zero. I'll be sure to look into that.
