Hello I am getting a killer deal on a 88 completely rebuilt engine and trans. But I have an 86. What do i need to do to swap it? Is it plug and play or is there some modification? I have looked in the search area but I can't find anything. any help would be appreciated. sorry for the title i thought it was an 89

 

'88 and '86's are both S4 so you're withing the same series...it's PnP (assuming they're both NA's or both turbos).

 

Thats what I thought. I just got an atkins rotary rebuilt engine for 100 with trans. And wanted to make sure it would be an easy swap

 

Oh.. I seriously, seriously doubt that.
