Help! power steering wiring

Well Im tired of no power steering and decided to installed it. Previous owner who I bought the engine from cut the harness from the p/s motor so now I have to solder them. So I need help figuring out which wire goes were because I cant find this in the service manual. btw this is a s4 n/a converted to s4 t4. So ecu is a s4t2 using the n/a EM harness. Thanks.

Have you looked in the FSM? The wiring diagram is a bit of a pain but it should reveal some information.

The wires in your hand sure don't look like factory wiring with regards to their color. The plug on the other hand matches up with the FSM diagram but the same cannot be said for the ones which are handheld. Neither the S4 or S5 wiring diagrams depicts such wires relating to power steering.

Nope, Israel there should only be 1 or 2 wires you connect. It's on the bottom of the power steering unit...

I'm running standalone and have my power steering hooked up. I don't have the sensor hooked up, either. But it doesn't affect my motor that much, you will notice that the rpm will drop a couple hundred rpm. The wire connects to the p/s is just used so the idle can be bounced up once the ecu see's that the p/s is working.

How's your car coming along? besides this.

^^Well these wires are definetly stock, I couldn't find it in the FSM either thats why im asking for help. Bud I have it like you do now, power steering hooked up but just exept the wiring, I know what you mean the p/s switch is just to bump up the idle but on mine it doesnt affect it at all and the steering wheel still feels some what hard to turn, thats why im thinking that I need to hook up the wiring. The car's running great, boosting 7 pounds all day long!

^^Well the wires in my hand are definetly stock, is just that from the pigtail to the electric motor change and are not listed in the FSM. Just want someone to look at theirs and tell me which wires go where.

Bud I know what you mean that the p/s switch is to bump the idle and I have it like you do now, power steering hooked up but except the wiring. On mine it doesn't affect idle at all but also the steering wheel is still somewhat hard to turn. This is why I think I have to have the electric motor on the pump wired up. Btw the car is doing great, boosting 7 pounds all day long!

ID got you the answers

Sorry to revive an old thread but I just hooked up my power steering and it works great. Ill start with the two wires, the solid red goes to Black-white... solid black goes to Solid green or green with stripe. Now the other one is Blue orange-orange or pinkish wire. Blue white-red, Blue black-yellow, Blue yellow-blue. Now the solid blue and the blue red go to the 2 white wires. I hooked them up then tried it I got lucky the first time and it worked but my plan was to switch them if it didnt work. I hope this helps let me know if it works.
