Help! Odd hesitation

This will happen usually from 2000-2500 rpm. Tonight I floored it and it happened at like 5k. The engine does not like stall out, its obviously still running, it just does nothing for a quick second and then the power jerks back on. It just started doing this the past couple days and I havent been messing with anything to cause it. Im thinking it could be running lean (I know the fuel filter needs a change) or the clutch is slipping??

Cool, let me know. Thats probably just the infamous 3800 rpm hesitation though which is a grounding issue.

Anyone else have any insight?

i have the same problem intermittently too. although with mine i find that it only happens when i dont let my car warm up enough. then when i floor it for whatever reason it chokes out for a second then returns to normal tire burning torqueyness. i always just assumed it is because the engine is cold and gets momentarilly flooded cuz of excess fuel not being burned. then again i am not the most mechanically apt person...

Hey i dont know about the grounding issue, but i just changed my fuel filter.
and after saturating myself with gas, i started her up. It was amazing the performance difference just from a filter. Give it a try, i noticed much better throttle response no hesitation when shifting into 1st eaither (which was becoming a problem)

I didnt notice any hesitation anymore throughout the powerband (only took it to 5000 in 3rd)

BTW anyone have the link to one of the previous threads about the 3800 hesitation grounding issue?
