i have no spark at all even directly out of the coil were should i start? and what all should i try?

i backprobed the cas connector with an ohm meter and ive got power there and i also had a friend check the coils on his rex and there working great the car has been off the road since 03 i picked it up REALLY cheap cause it had a blown motor (threw an apex) and a broken tranny ( no reverse) and through a stroke of luck and some great friends i ended up with a FREE ( running ) motor and tranny. my buddy matt ( who has NEVER owned anything but a rex till his brother bought him a caviler 4 a daily last year ) says that its most likly either the ecu, the cas itself or the wiring harness ( the car sat back in the woods with only one door till i got it sept of last year so its possible theres some rust or something on the harness under the elec. tape ) anybody got any ideas of anything else it could be or any way to test the previously mentioned parts. oh yeah... its an '86 non turbo s4. this is my first rex and ive wanted one for like 8years so I CANNOT WAIT until i finnally get to drive it! so... PLEASE HELP!!!
