Help a Newbie
Whats up everyone? I'm brand new to the rotary world and also turbo's. I have a 88 t2 that I'm doing work on now and need help. I've heard that there are direct bolt-on turbo's for our cars but can't find any info on them. I don't want to go crazy yet I just know I want more then a stock turbo setup. Someone told me Turbonetics makes one is that true? If so what kind of power can I get with this kind of setup?
Thanks a lot everyone,
Kevin

Not sure about the bolt on turbo's but I would change a few otherr things first as you may end up with a blown engine
With a boost gate and fuel cut defender(FCD), possibly new fuel pump, you'll be able to go upto around 10psi on the stock turbo, some people have gotten more, however if you are looking to go over that I would suggest you have a front mount intercooler installed.
There are heaps of other mods you can do, just have a read around some of the posts, but I would suggest you leave the bigger turbo until after you have installed a front mount and after market ECU.

I am not aware of any Turbonetics kits, as they mostly make individual parts that a qualified mechanic would use to build a custom turbo system. Their website has a catalog if you would like to browse through it.
