Question HELP! Need advice for ATF treatment!

If anyone can help me out with this topic, please respond. I have an 87 RX-7 that is exhibiting poor idle and difficult starting. I have heard about this ATF treatment being applied to help out apex seals. I don't have enough detail on the matter. Please, if you can better explain the process, please respond. I want my car to run like it used to before I unfortunately let her sit for 6 months..............silly mistake!

Ok, first, go buy a new set of spark plugs. They run $6 a piece, and you can get them at NAPA or wherever. While you are there, buy ATF, the cheap **** will work. Next make sure you have a oil can. Ok, now you are ready. Remove all the spark plugs. Squirt a little ATF in each hole, then rotate the engine by hand, or just crank it over w/ the key really quickly. Squirt, turn, squirt, turn. I used about 1/4 a quart of ATF on mine. Then, put in the OLD plugs, and let her sit for at least 24 hours. Fire her up. Be ready to **** off the neighbors, cuz it will smoke like CRAZY for about 5-15 minutes. Hop in, and take her to the highway. Redline the hell outta it to clean out all the carbon. Drive it for about 10 minutes, then take her home. As soon as the engine is cool enough, put in the new spark plugs. Enjoy!! Good luck!

I really did not notice a huge gain, cuz my engine rocks, but it definatly pulled harder, and started better.
