I think thats a canadian model only. I beleive it is equivalent to the luxury coupe. Unless the L fell off of the GXL sticker. :p

Yeah, it's special Canadian model only.  From when I read from previous thread, it's not quite a base model, but it's not exactly the same as the fully loaded GXL model.  It's slotted between the base model and the GXL.

Cayle, differentiation of your '90 GX from other models can be made here, as found on the sticky above.

The Canadian GX in 90 was the same as the USA 89-90 GTU model.

As a note, in the S4 models the GX was the same as Luxury and SE models.

No, the 89-90 GTUs (not the GTU) had the alum hoods, and 4 piston calipers.

Then it is either a GTUs or someone added them, replacing the base/GX/89-90 GTU single piston 5 lug brakes.

Or it is a 88 GTU, not a 89

Nope... too(two) very different models in the 89-90 cars.

The 88 GTU and the 89-90 GTUs are very simular, but the 89-90 GTU was the base model in the states, and should be the same as your GX model.

From my web page: [talking about the 89 model year changes]
The former base model, the GX/SE was updated with 5 lug wheels, and was renamed the GTU. While the former GTU/Sport model became the GTUs with a aluminum hood (from the Convertible), a new 4.3 rear end ratio and .762 top gear. The GTUs was designed to be a race ready street car with Air Conditioning and a AM/FM radio the only options. Similar to the series 4 Sport/GS the GTUs also had reduced insulation and 4 piston front brakes.
