The little one goes to the alternator, not the starter.

ok, but it's still starting when I put it to the battery, is there a silonoid or relay somewhere besides on the starter that I have bypassed by chance? I can't seem to find one. By the way my car is a series 5 turbo II

Alright, there's the little metal clip on the starter, and the 12mm bolt, do you have the battery ran to the clip, or to the bolt?

alright, if you take the wire off the clip, and then hook the battery up, does the car try to start at all?

Alright, that's a good sign Now, as I just private messaged you, do you have that clip wired to your battery as well? If you do that's no good. That clip has to be from the harness on the car (should be a thick black wire with a black connector on it that'll plug right onto it) if you're missing this or it got chopped off, don't fear, it's replacable, but if you have it just plug that on, if you don't, don't worry I'll help you through that. Let me know

Alright, I don't have pictures, but hopefully this'll help you somewhat as to what you have to do, this is from Kevin Landers site:

Modify the starter wiring. For now you'll leave off the stock trigger wire, the smaller of the 2 starter wires. Cut a 6 foot length of 14 gage wire, attatch the proper terminal, and run it through the firewall for later connection to the ignition switch

For the ignition switch wires, leave one disconnected...it is thick, black with a red stripe, and the only wire on it's plug. Find your starter trigger wire you ran earlier, and connect it to this wire...the end of the wire that comes from the ignition switch. This bypasses all the automatic interlocks that will keep you from starting. IF you wish to have a functional clutch pedal interlock, find the clutch pedal switch and first run your starter wire through that, then into the ignition switch.

Alright, what you need to do is find a clip that will go onto that little metal terminal on the starter, get some thick gauge wire (14 as mentioned above) and connect one end to the starter terminal, run it up the firewall and into the car somehow. Now, underneath the dash there is a thick black wire with a red stripe, it's a wire running straight to a single connector (make sure it's the ONLY wire on that connector, if you cut the wrong one you're in for a hell of a time (i did this, doh!)) now, cut off the connector with plenty of slack so you can splice your cable onto it, splice it on, connect it back up, hide your wires, and you're done

It's a pain in the A$$ ... I made a whole new starter switch for my N/A when I did the tranny swap .. I had a hell of a time with the Auto Harness and the Manual Tranny with the neutral switch and the clutch switch. I hope sonic can help .. i did it the easy (clean but **** rigged) way.

hahaha, I bypassed the clutch switch, it's kind of useful when my cars dead outside the garage, just drive it in using the starter I thought it was generally easy wiring to do, easier than some other crap i've run into.

Yeah, amen to that, all I had was hypntyz7's little page that said cut the black & red wire, and I cut the wrong one, whoops. That left me with interesting results So after than I cut the right one and it was pretty easy, but if you don't know which wire to look for it could easily be a nightmare. This car isn't my daily, it's going to be my girlfriend's car, so I'm pretty much building it for her

Hahaha, she's definatly one hell of a woman. And yeah, I plan on marrying her. Whipped? Nah, it was my idea, she pointed out an FC and said it was cool and she said she'd like to have one, so I got her one as a surprise, series 5 turbo II!
