If you need a fix in like two seconds, take a flat head screwdriver and tighten down that screw on the top of your throttle body until the idle drops down a bit.

if it's a turbo model, you'll need an 8mm socket to loosen the nut that's on the idle adjustment screw...just make sure the nut is tightened back up.

If it's an NA, on top of the UIM, there will be a screw that you can use to adjust the idle....it's usually hidden underneath a black cap.

Thanks for that. I assume it's N/A unless otherwise stated, or if it's obvious.

Idle adjustment procedures are in the Factory Service Manual, which can be found in the FAQ. To properly set the idle the car must be fully warm, the initial set coupler jumped and everything else in good working order.

also check the gas pedal to the throttle linkage. the last owner of mine had it tightened in to the point it was ildeing @ 3000 rpm constantly. i tried the screw on top of the intake and it slowed it down but didnt stop it fron idleing so high. so i adjusted the throttle linkage and no problems since. ALSO it starts and runs at about 3k till it starts warming up then will drop to about 1500 then slowly make its way down to 750-800 once its fully warmed up.
