help with main cat? emmisions

help with main cat? emmisions

i have a 86 gxl there is a tube that comes off the cat looks like maybe something to do with emmissions not sure. the question i have is that mine is snapped what should i do should i just block it off of replace the part? is it important at all

it sounds like your talking about your air pump tube without it your cats will burn i think

Its a tube that feeds air to the Cat when the ACV ports it out that way. Its called "split air" and its part of the secondary injection system.
