Good aftermarket gauges

I'm looking for some good aftermarket gauges for my 7. I've heard that Autometer isnt very reliable and that several others are also worthless. Anyone had any luck w/ any gauges that didnt cost a fortune. BTW, i was thinking of getting an Air/Fuel ratio gauge, engine temp. and oil temp gauge

whats wrong with autometer? they are probably the best unless you wanna spend $100+ on each one (greddy, defi, hks, ect.). engine temp gauge?

I've had my Autometer gauges for a few years now and they have been very reliable. Sport Compact in black electrical oil pressure, oil temp, water temp, volts. I use a PLX wideband for my A/F's.

I don't see the point in spending $200 a gauge for a street driven car unless you want some kind of memory function which is nice or the rareness.

just waht ever you do dont get the auto meter boost gauge. it really makes you wonder when you get the gauge and it reads 2psi of boost when its not even hooked up... i am doing my best to eliminate my auto meter gauges. it is worth it in the long run to get some of the better gauges liek greddy...

Pretty much a contradiction right there. Good, accurate gauges = $$$ I've not heard terrible things about Autometer though and I am going to order some Prosports to see how they turn out.

Greddy v2's are the stuff. They are very accurate and are somewhat affordable. Best of all, they look almost exactly like the stock guages. Greddy's new line is now red-lighted, not green anymore. I bought mine from rx7.com.

There's also company called westech (or westach). They build their stuff to airplane specs, which are dead acurate, I called them asking for an accurate fuel pressure guage for my turbo buick and asked if a 1/4 of a lb was good enough!!!
They'll make custome guages to, i.e. fuel pressure / airfuel / boost all in one guage type stuff. Their prices weren't too bad either, a little more than autometers...
They're lit up with a little led light or your color choise, so they're not as "pretty" as most of the "ricer" guages, but they'd very accurate!

But I'd like to know, do you guys use the stock guage pod in the dash when you get aftermarket stuff??? How about some pics or your dash's?? I'd like to get new guages for my 86 rx7 (a small fire burnt some of my wires under the hood, my tach is the only thing working right now)
