Help Loosing Fluid Fast!!!!!

Few days ago i noticed a small puddle of red fluid under the front of my car. Today as i let my car idle in frint of my house for liek 5mins before i left i noticed a small lake of RX7 blood under my car. So i go under and noticed my PS hard line the one that loops vack in front of the rad. Is leaking under the rubber protector so it is squirting out all over the place. Now What to do? Can i drive the car with no ps fluid. Should i take off the PS belt in the meantime? I need my car for school the morning. Please help.
Thanx

Ok. Well if you dont mind not runnign your power steering for a while its not harmful to yoru car, though I would pull the belt to it just in case.

Yes, the lack of the pump will only make it a slight pain to turn when stopped, at highway speeds the steering is nearly the same. Some of us have removed our systems entirely and have no consequences other than less weight and a more free engine bay.

You already mentioned you plan to do so, but make sure and take the belt off the pump, as there's a chance you could ruin it.

And just as an aded thought, if you prefer the feel of your car without teh PS its not too hard to remove the system entirely, I do believe there is a writeup in the faq or archives somewhere

i lookad at that ebay auction and it doesn't have the long line that loops back in front of the rad. I think my other two are ok. Also is it common for the oil cooler to leak? On cold start the right side of the cooler where both lines connect start gushing oil but stops when the car heats up. Strange... I think they hired the stooges to do the plumbing on my car:-)

Wow....thats not good...if I were you, and since youwant new lines and such, order a Victoria British catalog, takes a week or two to get(just got mine today along with getting my car back ^.^) and they have just about everythign you can possibly need besides a motor and chassis for your car. That is if you want brand new parts. IMHO

ya i found some guy on ebay seliing the cooler with lines still attached. He said that it doesn't leak but who would say other wise? It like $30 now maybe ill give that a shot first. I'm starting to get used to no powersteering but i would really like to have it for when i drift. Yes i am aware there was a big thread on drifting with or without ps. My 240 had PS and i would like my 7 to have it as well. Many guys take out theres so there has to be a bunch of these lines somewhere. HeHeHe.

lol, perhaps. Though if they were like me and didnt want to see it ever again....they might have just cut it to get it out of the way in frustration(did it to the ac lines) Id send you my ps lines if I knew the loop was in good shape, for free even, but sadly that is the reason I pulled it....leaky lines and a melting fluid fill cap.
