help just bought an afm???

Aight i just bought an afm off of ebay and the door wont open by hand it works it just wont stay started what could be the problem

So, this is an S4 AFM? And the door won't open if you push on it? That'd be a broken AFM. You can open it up and have a look.

Yeah its a s4 ane i opened it and the first contact it touches and it wont go past it, its a long silver piece

No idea what you're referring to exactly, but there shouldn't be anything to stop the motion of the door. Maybe the spring is broken and has gotten jammed in the mechanism.

anyone in the fortworth area that can help???

Aight guys i have been dicking with this car for two months now and still haveing trouble. i have an 88 t2 and i can not figure out what in the it problem is it bogs down and pops and shutters the motor has about 1500 miles on it just changed the afm plugs wires coils as of right now im just throwing money at it and the prob is still not fixed ran fine for about a day and now it hates me or something any input and if anyone can come by i would apreciate it thanks guys.

A dead spot in the TPS sweep can cause little hesitations and/or a bouncy idle.
