Help! I think I fried something...
First off, I drive a 1988 10th Anniversary Turbo II.
Ok.. here's the deal, I was taking out my amp for my stereo to replace it with a new one. I recieved the new one a day late and thus had the old one already out for an entire day, I had just left the power/remote/ground wires sitting there in my trunk. I was driving over a bump when I hear ZAP and then it died. It seems that the ground and power wires had found each other.
The car wouldn't even turn over, I push in the clutch, turn the key, just a clicking noise. Nothing else. I got it back to my house which was only about a block away and looked into the engine, the only fuse I blew was the inline fuse for the amp power wire. I replaced that and tried again. Nothing.
I was frustrated and went inside for a while. I came back out about 4 hours later and it started, not easy, but it slowly turned over. I drove it to work where it sat for another 4 hours. I came out, turned the key and it turned over SLOWLY and took about 15 seconds before it started.
I think I might have killed my battery, when I hit my brakes now, all the lights in the car dim. It still starts I think, only tried it twice.
Any ideas as to what I can do to help it?
Thanks guys, you're the experts!

Former Moderator. RIP Icemark.
Sounds like a bad battery and a the wrong size fuse rating.
Always tape off the wire and pull out the fuse when working on aftermarket amps.
