HELP i cant get the check and fill plug off the tranny
HELP i cant get the check and fill plug off the tranny!! i have been tryong for about 45mins or maybe even longer but i cant get it off im using a 15mm open wrench 14 is too small. someone help tell me what i can do before it gets dark

Try and adjustable wrench and a hammer. I forgot what size the plugs are but find the right size and then use 2 wrenches to multiply the torque if you know how to do that.

Put one wrench on the nut and then put the other wrench on the end of the first one in a way so that when you pull/push in the direction to loosen it will catch on the first one and pull both together. It works like a breaker bar. I cant really explain it any better but it works really well if you need more torque. You can also try slipping a long pipe over the wrench as well.

What I usually do to get any of those plugs out (they have ALWAYS been stuck) is to first, before even trying to remove it, spray it with WD-40. Then I wack it dead on with a hammer and spray it again. I let it sit for about five minutes. Then I attach the correct size wrench (Dont remember the size offhand) and I stick a pipe over the wrench to make the reach longer, thus 'multiplying the torque' and it tends to pop right out.
I put anti-seise on it when I put it back in so that I wont ever have that problem again with that particular car.

Forget the WD-40. Go out to the auto store and get a can of PB Blaster. Best stuff in the world for getting off stuck bolts. Spray the bolts and let sit for a while (overnight if possible). Then try it again.

Proper tools are the key to any job.
I use a 16-pt socket on the plugs with a breaker bar if required.
I strongly suggest that if you are going to be doing work on your own car, then you should invest in a good set of tools and a good breaker bar. There are many occasions where a breaker bar has come in handy. Its worth the inestment.

If I remember right - an SAE 12 point fits perfectly! But i cant remember which size.
