Angry HELP, HELP, HELP!! Breaking up.

Hey Everyone, 13B4port streetport, Turbo 2 Rotors, Weber 48mm sidedraft carb, TO4 turbo, FMIC. In neutral and in first gear, from exactly 2,000 rpm and on the motor cuts up and is choppy. In first, from 2,000 on, the car is choppy and makes no power until 2nd gear. It's like until the motor has load on it, it doesn't clear up. The exhaust also backfires in between shifts. I'm givng as much info as I can to maybe help this problem. Is this carb related?, timing related? Could an exhaust leak cause this? Any help would be greatly appreciated as this is pissing me off to no end.
