Acceleration tips...
I don't know if it's my rotary or if it's me or my car... but when I start out in first I seriously have a lack of power. My 2nd and 3rd is where most my power is... but by that time the guy is already way in front... kinda irritating.
Wanted to get any tips on accelerating quick from 1st. I am pretty new to Manual but have gotten the hang of it these past few weeks.
Also I have almost 0 power from 7k to 8k RPM...
I have a '91 N/A
really, I need the help... any gear shifting, acceleration or clutching tips on racing! Thanks a lot guys

i am able to drop the clutch and launch at about 5k and get good acceleration in first
clutch might be goin bad and slippin waaaay too much, not giving you the right kinda power in first.
if clutch is goin out it will slip a lot at high rpm's
also, if your compression is low acceleration sucks.
sounds like slipping clutch to me.

How do you clean actuators?
You mean make sure they move?
Have the car at idle.. pull the emergency brake and push the brake pedal to the floor. Put the car into 1st gear and let the clutch out, if the car stalls out instantly, then your problem is your not pushing the gas hard enough.

I think you just need to get the revs up higher
launch around 3500-4500 should be good
mine has no power from about 7200+ either (90 na)
think it's just the way it goes, until exhaust is installed

Fix the 6 ports, don't wire them open. You'll lose bottom end torque and only gain the top end you would have if they were working right anyways.
You're not seeing power above 7K because thats when that engine cant suck in enough air to continue making power stock.
dropping the clutch at 5K for me = a city block long burnout. (not the way to win races) Most cars are geared pretty low in first so you need to make it to 7K and then get into second as fast as you can. Short throw shifter and a fast left foot is what you need for that battle. The clutch should be engaging as the gear teeth fully mesh. Timing is critical as you make no accelleration in neutral.
