Help! Got no boost

My car is no longer producing any boost.

It is a stock 87 T2 with gutted pre-cat and 3' cat.

I seem to have had boost/power problems for the entire time that I have owned the car.

The car always use to stutter in the top end and would barely make redline, it doesnt want to rev past 6000. During this, boost would always come on and stay pretty constant.

In recent weeks, boost has dropped off to half what it used to be.

Now, I am not getting any boost, the car still doesn't rev out to redline... but it doesn't stutter anymore.

Does anyone have any ideas on what is wrong with my car? I desperately want it to run properly.

Thanks in advance

Daniel

BTW The car has only 141,000km (87,000 miles) and had good compression last time it was checked.

I haven't really checked anything recently, what do you suggest I check?

The stock TID is still attached.

Anybody....??

Could worn out original mufflers cause so much backpressure that the turbo won't spool?

Check all air flow from Turbo through the I/C. Could be a bad clamp, hose, allowing the air to escape.

well asumming u havent checked anything recently or that u might have over looked it, i would check TID for cracks where it mounts onto the turbo, next check for vacumm leaks. are u sure u cant hear ur turbo spool? do u have an aftermarket BOV? how did u check for vacumm leaks if u did? check timing?
