Exclamation Help! Flood and my car...

Today it rained hellacrazy here in Houston. My street flooded and there was water above my knees. Earlier today, I was driving my brother's 87 RX-7(fc3s) and ended up parking down the street aways because my friend took my parking spot in the driveway. Turns out that the part of the street I parked on is lower than the rest and when it flooded, water got in the car. Maybe an inch or two more water and it woulda been over the seats(bottom part.)
I managed to get a group of friends to help me out with pushing it onto our lawn(the water was over the exhaust) and bailed out alot of the water. Most of the water on our street has recedded now, but I'm left with a very wet RX-7 and a very angry dad. He blames me for the flooding and it looks like I'll be moving out soon. I don't think the water hit anything major but the seats and the pedals but I'm not sure. I think there's also still water in the exhaust. I haven't started it yet, too scared to.
I need help on what I should do i.e.- drying the carpet, draining the exhuast, figuring out damage. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,
=Z=

Get professional help on the interior. Removal of the drainage holes requires some work (do RX-7's even HAVE drainage holes?) As for exhaust.... rain water hits the bottom of the car all the time, and its fine, and condensation comes out in the exhaust itself... the engine should be fine.
Start the car ASAP, and go make some hard runs.
Good luck.

If that much water was in it, it may have soaked the ECU as well.

your dad blames you for the flood? Were you doing that traditional rain dance again?

Let the car COMPLETELY dry before you try and start it. Open the hood, all doors, and hatch. Leave it in the sun. If you pull up the passenger footwell carpet (remove the door sill trim and footwell side trim first) you will see a metal plate. Remove it, then remove the ECU, open it up and let it dry. Jack the front of the car up so any water in the exhaust drains out.
