help - dtss bushing install

alright im having trouble getting the new bushing centered in. working with RB derlin DTSS eliminator bushings. i cant even get the outer derlin bushing even started because it wont stay centered, one side keeps popping out.

also, im getting really frustrated with the stupid upper hub part. that steel insert is pushed in, getting caught on the bracket when trying to pull the hub off. how the hell do you fix this, before i take a plasma cutter to this beyotch. half the trouble with the bushing is because i can only move the hub up and down.

Is the hub off the car? There is a website with a walkthrough on DTSS eliminator bushing installation. I'll need to find it, and I'll post it on here.

Try searching...

This should help. For removal and installation of the bushings, instead of using a piece of tubing i used a 22mm and 34mm or 36mm socket, with the hydraulic press...

You can always rent for a deposit a bushing remover kit from local hardware store.

word i was using shadetree mechanics write up. thus the reason why i was getting frustrated with the hub, since in the write up they left the hubs in (stuck in) but it was sooo much easier with the hub out, i feel kinda dumb now.

took me 2 days to do the driver side, an hour for the passenger side. lol
