i have an 86 rx7. it was bought with ebay suspension on it (supposedly megen, but i doubt it) anyway, i ended up hitting a pretty large pot hole.

every tiny little bump i hit, my strut moves. there is (what looks like) a bushing that moves freely on the strut now, whereas on the other ones its up in the mount for the strut. it looks like it should be holding it in place. if i look at the top-hat from the inside of the car, you can see the strut moving.

i was just wondering if anybody has had this happen to them before, and what they did about it.

Does it move up and down? Or twist? Or left and right?

We need all the details.

 

k. i'll pull the wheel off and take some pictures on sunday, since i have to work all day tomorrow.

but yea, it moves up, down, and a little to the left and right.
