Clokker is right about dropping some major $$ into your car, but most of the money everyone spends on these rx7's is on a rebuild and all the gaskets, and other preventive maintainence.

To give you an idea , just an engine rebuild will cost around $1500 + the cost of all your gaskets, getting your injectors cleaned, hoses, etc. It adds up fast.

So buying a well running rx7 is ideal , of course inevitably it will one day need a rebuild but it not needing one to run initially saves you alot of cash and labor.

One good cheap thing to get first that every rx7 owner should have is an aftermarket temp gauge, so you know how hot you actually running.

Alright guys so I'm back looking for an rx7 I sold my first one due to it needed to much work than what I could have put into it. So. I'm looking around and I found if you guys don't remember the red one with a black hood. He said he was having fuel injector issues and that it would start with the gas all the way down. Now he says its completely random when it starts. Hmmm. Sounds like a compression issue?
