that can be the only answer.

Aside from a blown fuse.

do you think that since i put the faces over the old ones, the needles are sticking or something? I know everything was plugged in correctly, i tried it like 6 times

Do things like the high beam indicator and turn signal indicators work?

if they do, then you probably just have a blown fuse.

If they don't you have a bad connection or ground screw on the back is loose.

In the drivers kick panel the fuse listed as meter.

You can check to see if it is blown by checking the reverse lights. they won't work if that fuse is blown.

ok, all my fuses are good, and every other dash function works fine. The only thing that doesnt work is any of the gauges, voltmeter doesnt jump when i turn the key, rpms dont work when i start the car, absolutely nothing. Im clueless. Everything is properly ground in the back of the panel, i just have no f-ing clue. Well, at least my gauges look really good, too bad they dont work at all.

And do the reverse lights work? (you'll need the key on to check)

ok, i may have found the problem, and if it is what i think it is then im up a **** creek. There is a little white piece of plastic at the base of the needle on each gauge, which makes the gauge move and retract and what not. Well I am missing 2 of them, on my fuel gauge and my temp gauge. If this is the problem, then any ideas on what to do about that?

Well, you could try to remove the platic covering and see if you can even move your gauges by hand, if they require anything over the sligest force, chances are they are rubbing on the new faces.

If those little white plastic things are not there, then the temp and fuel guages won't work. I don't know about the other ones though...Were you rough on them? Even if you completely murdered them, they should at least TRY to move...Makes me think that there is an electrical problem....Perhaps you damaged your wiring harness? Or the plug on the guages? Have you tried resoldering?

no, i took each needle out carefully by hand, and each plug came out easily in the back. Every ground screw is tightened, and there are no solder points that need to be redone. I only unplugged the thing one time, and it came out without having to use any force. I dont know how i would have damaged anything

ok, it is definitely something with the gauges themselves. The speedometer works perfectly, and the Tach wants to work. the needle will go up a little bit, but it goes up really slow and only gets to like 2,000 rpm's even when im totally winding it out. The oil pressure gauge jumped up when i started the car, but it just stayed there and wouldnt go anywhere else. Still nothing from the voltmeter or temp and fuel gauges. So i dont know what the hell to do now. im gonna be installing aftermarket temp and oil pressure gauges because i think the mechanical ones are alot more accurate, but i have no clue what to do with the tach or my fuel and voltmeter gauges

Sure sounds like a bad ground on the cluster now
