heater core and wiring question
I've decided to rip out my heater core and all that jazz from under the dash, yes I have taken into account window fogging and such, but this car is only gonna be a summertime weekend beast, so I am willgin to accept any inconvienences that will come up. So heres the questions.
I have this big section of wiring harness that starts with a big green clip next to the steering column, and stretches across the car stoppgin with a big blue clip....do I need to keep this mess to keep power to things, or cna it be removed? pic.
secondly..is this the evil power steering computer? silver box under the steering column..just wanted to make sure before i pull it off
my other question is about the colant line from the heater core...do I need to loop the coolant line that come out of the engine under the oil filter, around to the other line that normaly comes out of the heater core an into the bottom of the radiator? or should these just be blocked off? I'm guessing loop them around, but i figured I shoudl ask
lastly a picture of what I found under my dashboard...just one more thing that makes me want to do things myself so I know they are done right
mmmm rusty

I bypassed my heater core
Just get some heater hose and connect one end from the lower rad nipple and the other to the drivers side of the engine where the core hose usually leads to. I wouldnt recommend blocking these off seeing as how the cool the engine and such.

That's not what the PS computer looks like, at least not on my '88 SE. The PS computer is located just above your left foot when you're driving, just to the left of the steering column. It's about 4 or 5 inches on a side, about an inch thick, and has a wiring connector about 2 or 3 inches long going into it.
