Pulled the dash back out tonight, definitely an issue with the wiring harness, so i'll be spending the next day or two testing/fixing the front harness, after checking the signals to the CPU and to the hazard switch I continuity between the wires and a ground where they shouldn't be but it's somewhere deeper into the front harness. Once I find/fix it i'll do my best to explain what/where the issue was.

PRO TIP -

Don't plug your logicon connector into the anit-theft control unit connector.

This was it, this caused all my issues, funny thing was this was in my very first post, seemed like what was happening was the security system was freaking out. Old board works perfectly, no need for the new board so hopefully I can send it back to Mazdatrix.

Not sure how to mark thread as fixed but it's fixed, win for me.

Brandon,

Congratulations! I am glad to hear that your problem is solved. How on earth did you cross-connect the logicon and anti-theft connectors?

Cheers,
George

Months between taking it apart and putting it back together, never saw the logicon connection behind the dash, saw the open connector (anti theft connector), it reached (sort of), and fits perfectly. Just one of those situations where so many things came together and caused me think I was doing it correctly but was not.

Well thanks for all the help and information George, silly it was just a wrong connector hooked up but nice it wasn't like a big issue that is harder to fix.

Take care,
Brandon
