having problems with starting the 7

i duno if any 1 might know the problem..im thinkin fuel filter might be clogged or somethin but here goes. this is on my 88 gxl by the way. every 2 or 3 times i start the car it dont want to start. it cranks and everything. i have to pull the main fuse of the ecu and crank it then put the fuse back in order to start the car. this has just happen to me for the past 2-3 days. if any 1 knows the problem or has been in this situiation please tell me what this could possibly be. i would like to fix this problem asap so i dont have to pop my hood everynight and pull fuses out at 1am trying to leave my gf;s house to go home.
to any 1 that replys. thanx for the help

Dan

I ALSO just got back from my g/fs house, and when leaving at THREE in the morning, had to PULL THE FUSE, and CRANK THE MOTOR Agggggh! mines only been doing this for about three weeks now, i'd say about half the time. i've heard it could be leaky injectors. i have new plugs and wires, all ngk. more info on this subject would be greatly appreciated.

i was told that this is caused by dirty injectors that leak fuel into the motor....when was your last tune-up?

I just got some duralube complete fuel system cleaner, and put in a double mix, (one bottle for half a tank of gas instead of the usual one bottle for a WHOLE tank)

I plan on going through all the gas in the next day and a half, lots of high load, high rpm fun to give the injectors a workout, and i'll let you know the results, whether it starts more often/all the time or not. as it is now, it's flooding about 2/3rds of the time, and i've been having SOME luck with holding the gas pedal to the floor as i crank it over. i guess we'll see what happens.

by the way, i bought to $9 a bottle dura lube cleaner, a guy i know and trust at schucks reccomended it.

wish me luck, i dont want to install a fuel cut switch!

If your injectors are driping you can send them to www.rceng.com and get them blueprinted .

leaky injectors? maybe...

I read somewhere that if u don't allow the engine to reach operating temperature then the computer overloads the inj's when u start the engine next. The fix to this problem? pull the fuel pump fuse...

I'm thinking your engine is warmed up but still gives the problem. Check to make sure that all your cooling system wires are in place (securely) 'cause even if the engine is warming up, if the computer doesn't know this it will keep sending that signal: "Hey! this'll teach to warm up your engine!"

Also if u still want to give your injectors a work out, pull the vacuum hose off the fuel pressure regulator. It jacks up fuel press to max (AKA WOT all the time).
