That's a basic capacitor. It'll make ur stereo better but wont fix ur problem. Follow the things ppl above this have said and ull be fine. The capacitor I have doesn't fix my dimming lights but that's just because that's not what they meant to do. If you fix this problem and don't need a capcitor then I suggest you avoid it till its needed. Here's a link to the cap I used, and there's a review telling about why they don't fix the power pull issue http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/p_18695_Rockford_Fosgate_RFC10HB.aspx

ok jack i read the link and thank you it sounds completely correct now i need to see if lucky 7 has what i need lets cross fingers here lol okok now the system install i orderd a nice set of subs and also a 1200w amp a 5 farad capacitor i know its overkill i have a 8 gauge wire going to my fuel pump from battery im going to replace it with a 4 gauge fused line and run the amp and fuel pump off it the question is since i have a 5 farad should i hook amp anf fuel pump to the capacitor or have the pump before it ? i mean would the more constant draw of my pump hurt it ? i know one farad is good for 1000w i cant imagine the pump using more then 1500w and the amps 1200w

i will definitly get a yellow top when i get to installing everything ive seen a few cases where a smaller battery has been installed in back im considering that as well but will look for that smaller alt pully first i think that is a dead on diagnosis

From what I remember reading, if you install more than 1 battery, both batteries need to be the same or else there will be discrepencies when charging power is sent to each unit from the alternator.
