hardtop vert ( or something to that effect)

this guy says the vert is a hardtop, looks like he covered the old top in fibreglass or something......
doesnt look great but i think it could if better executed

found it on car domain.... theres some weird **** on that site.... i just recall somebody on here talking about wanting to design some kind of hardtop for the vert but i think this one is pretty fugly.... i think it might look kinda good if it was something like the removable ones on like the z3 with the hinges on the rear deck... costly though
i dont know, just found it and posting it... dont crucify me!

Would have looked better if it didn't look like he just painted over the damn stock cover. If it was actually molded to be flowing instead of looking just like the stock fabric cover than it may have looked at least somewhat decent.

WTF???? what's "hard top" about that ****? looks like painted soft top....I will have a convertible GTUsII now....I'll put canvas on my roof and make it look like the soft top.

it looks to me like they covered the soft top with some sort of fiberglass cloth and resin to make it hard. i think it looks pretty bad too but it could give some people some ideas. It would be pretty neat to take an old sort top and make a mold out of fiberglass that you could pop some nice hardtops with...
