Unhappy It happened to me 2.....

This sucks,

Well last night,September 1st I went to work as usual,
But this time it wasn't usual. Well I work third shift 12-8 and my job is about 30mins away.

When I arrived at work I was watching the turbo timer count down when I noticed the car surge for a few seconds......So I got out of the car to C the ground under the front end of my car glowing....I popped the hood and there was a fire brewing up in the car....Thankfully we keep fire extinguishers at work because I didn't have one. I put the fire out and when it was all done I was really pissed.....

I just got done getting and putting in the S5 TID,Dual alt pulley,Mazdatrix's Steel braided oil cooler lines Removed the ACV & AWS and for the first time in a year since I've owned the car it was running SWEET and better than ever.

Well the morning came and when I inspected the car I was amazed to C that my top oil coller line that was 2 wks old had a small hole blown out the side of it.... Right under the battery....I thought this SB **** was tuffer than my stock 14yrd crappy but reliable rubber one.Guess not.

Well somehow it burst and caught fire......Thankfully I was able to put it out in time...I Need another oil cooler line and to fix some wires.....Hopefully My baby will be ok. There is fire extinguisher dust all over the engine.....
From now on I will have a fire extinguisher in any car I own.......I'll post sometime to let ya'll know what the outcome will bring.....Better be ok because I can't afford this ****, I just got my license back 2 wks ago for.....Never Mind that.........

Peace.......
Benny

Man that really sucks, at least you got the fire out and didnt burn the car to the ground. I think having a fire ext is a good idea for all people, I know I have them in my vehicles.

Oh **** man, i hope everyting is alright. So it was your hew oil cooler line that burst and caused the fire? Maybe you can get a refund for sure and maybe have them pay for any further damages. Maybe.....

Yes it was one of my new lines...I can't beleive it myself.
Mazdatrix will be hearing from me....I hope they do something.....I'm very lucky in only that I caught it early...maybe 15 seconds after a weird surge...right when I pulled into my works driveway....I'm very lucky but not really that it happened when and where it did...anywhere else and my car would have been toast...

Thanks guys,
A burned up Benny

Well I went and fixed the two wires that got burned last night during my adventure, don't know what they go to,they are in the huge wire cluster under the battery tray. Well I bought a OEM oil cooler line from the MAZDA dealership and put it on and the car drove home and around for a bit with no leaks.Oil pressure was normal again....I contacted mazdatrix and I am awaiting answer as to why SB line burst...Right in the damn middle where it touches nothing....? I have the bottom engine cover so nothing bounced up in there. It really sucks......I'll try and post a pic tomorrow.
Hope it doesn't happen again....
Peace,
Benny

Well sorry no picture. Anyways Mazdatrix said they will replace the line even though they have no warranty.
They said this is only due to the short install time.

Well I guess that's about it, I'll probably leave in the NEW OEM line in for now....$120 **** better not burst.

Take Care,
Benny
