Not true. Hand brake works fine while driving. Wouldn't be much of an emergency brake if it didn't.

Would this have anything to do with drifting?

It should work unless it's not adjusted right.

yeah mine works like crap.... wont hold the car in place on a very steep hill. Also my one back brake squeaks alot when I put on the brakes, noticably at low speeds. Time for a break job I think, although the pads look fine. Got contaminated from sitting mabye?

try and ajust the ebrake at the cables to tighten it up a bit.

Mine works real good (when used along with engine breaking, and failing brakes). Had to use it to get home a few weeks ago, when the pedal seemed like the brakes where failing.
And it wont let me go ANYWHERE with it on.

I still need to replace that master cylander. I dont HAVE to drive it so it can wait till after I take my A&P tests coming up in a few weeks.

yea, it should work perfectly fine if its adjusted properly and have decent pads on them. And if you ARE thinking toward the drifting side... make sure to time it perfectlyor else itll just slow down a little and nothing will happen.

yeah to get it too work while driving best off trying to use weight shift of the car, like to handbrake or e-brake turn, turn the car slightly then engage the brake the sudden shift of weight will help to lock the tyres
