close your garage doors, turn on the car and sit there and think hard about whats pissing you off, then you'll eventually start to feel better and go to a happy place

Rebuild it with a nice port or get a full TII conversion going.

Talking Rodthrowerz.

I bought a Rotary because I re-enacted the Blues Brothers scene too many times:

Jake: "Elwood, what was that?!?"
Elwood: "Threw a rod."
Jake: "That's bad, right?"
Elwood: "Yup."

I thought I'd get something without rods this time.
1983 5.0 Mustang - no mods: Threw three rods getting on the freeway. WOT.
1993 Caravan - no mods: Threw a rod pulling into my driveway.
1998 Stratus - no mods: threw a rod toolin' round town, then again one month after the rebuild.
Said "F*** it!" and went for my 86 GXL.

If anyone is wondering what rod knock sounds like, ask me. I know.

Said GXL has spent 60% of the time I've owned it sitting dead in my driveway (various reasons, first was the PD, then a vacuum leak, then an oil leak, now the main harness.)

I'm beginning to wonder which was cheaper, my GXL or the Rods.
