GUYS.. I fugged up..

Ok.. i've got a serious problem on my hands..

Well, here goes:

I was installing the Rb block off plate... to go in place of the ACV

well, i got the plate.(which is real nice) and was installing it, i put some silicone gasket maker around the plate and proceeded to install it, well problem is. If your looking at the lower intake manifold from the passenger side of the car, i broke the lower LEFT bolt.. it broke off inside of the lower intake manifold.. and not i'm screwed, cause i've got an intake leak.. guys what can i DO! please, i'm so screwed if i dont get this fixed.. i let the gasket maker dry.. and started the car. it wont idle cause i've got a leak right there, because there's only 2 bolts holding the plate on... instead of 3

any idea's? Man, i just dont know what to do..

The head of the lower left bolt just broke off, and now the threads are stuck inside the lower manifold

thanks for the help

you probebly did not use enough RTV silicone. My block off plate was held in by only two bolts untill about two weeks ago and I have a very good idle. For a temp fix just put a **** load of RTV on it then go get one of those reverse drill bits that you use to take out screws or tap it.

the same one that you are mentioning wa gone on my car. I would suggest buying some "Permatex ULTRA Black" it is like 4 or 5 bux for a tube of the stuff.

Use a 90 degree air drill and drill directly into the broken bolt. Make sure you use a reverse-cut drill bit.
Then, use an EZout to remove the bolt.

take off that block off plate. You should not have 1/4" or so of threads sticking out of the LIM. Grab onto it with a pair of vise-grips, and unscrew it. It should come out no problem. Go get a new bolt and you should be good

well, i took the plate back off. and applied a liberal amount of Gasket gooo. I let it dry and than took the car for a test run.. there's still a small vac leak.. not nearly as bad as before, the car will now hold an idle.. I richend the fuel mixture at idle just a slight bit, it than raised it's own idle.. (up to 900) i than counter acted that by acctually adjusting the idle back down to 750. It's holding it's own idle again..

But that still doesnt fix my problem of having a vac leak, it's just bandaiding it for a little while until i can get a new bolt in that place

It's idleing fine. just every 5-10 seconds, i can feel the engine rumble/stumble a little at idle

Driving is fine.. acctually this may not make sense, but i dont have a 3800 hesitation... i dont think it was the Block off plate. i also took the 6 Port accuaters off, cleaned them up and painted them a dull silver color. just cause i was bored..

i dunno, see you guys
