I was driving down a major street today. I was doing the speed limit in the center lane, when all of a sudden a Black Protege is coming into my lane. I steer right to avoid him and I don't know what happened. All of a sudden I was spinning around, clipped a light pole, and ended up doing a 900 facing the other direction after jumping the curb. I felt ok, and the guy actually stopped. I have no idea how I lost my back end like that though. The bumper is f'ed up along with the left front fender and the hood. I'm so pissed...I'm supposed to be getting a 3rd gen this next week. Now, my dad will probably not let me buy it because of this....

I'm really pissed....

 

Is the protege paying for damages??? That sucks dude, hope you get your FD.

thats wierd man.. how do you mean you dont know what happened? maybe you clipped another car or something! back ends dont just spin out like that..

yeah, I had a friend bring his brand new 5 megapixel camera and take pics. I really have no idea what happened. Seriously, I have played around with taking fast turns and never had a problem with the back end while it was dry! I don't think I was bumped by anyone else, but I have no idea. The police did come and fill out a report. He has crappy Direct General Insurance. I work at a Personal Injury Law Firm, so I know the drill. He'll probably have just 10K Property Damage Liability which is the minimum by law in Florida. That should cover the damages. It's going to need a whole new bumper cover, and the whole front end straightened. No one was ticketed, but the first thing that guy said was "Sorry Man, I didn't see you there" So he admitted fault. My insurance will still probably go up (as if it isn't already freaking high enough) either way. I have good coverage, so the car will get fixed either way. I'm more concerned about not getting the FD. It isn't just any FD either. So nice.....Montego Blue (Brand new paint), new streetported engine, new Turbonetics T66, Haltech, the interior is PERFECT, new Enkei wheels....The list goes on...I'm still pissed...
