Exclamation gutting cats

I am wondering which cats i should gut on my 87 N/A?
I don't want to get a staight pipe yet, but want to try just to gut the cats.

I have heard that just gutting both precats will keep it from sound like total crap and will free up a good bit of power. Is this true or not? need some feed back...

Gut the two little ones. Gut the big one and your car will A) stink B) not pass an emissions test and C) be much louder.
