GTUs power steering pump
Does the GTUs use the vehicle speed sensing or the engine speed sensing power steering pump? I've searched and found dissenting answers.
Also, is there any difference in the steering racks, or belts(or anything...) that would make them non-interchangable?

Everything else is 2-port or engine-sensitive PS.
BTW, the extra port is for bleeding the pressure off by the PS computer as the speed gets higher.

Former Moderator. RIP Icemark.
According to Mazda I was wrong, but on all the GTUs models I have seen, they were engine speed sensing.
The pump/valve assemblies are different. The vehicle speed sensing assemblies have 3 lines, while the engine speed sensing assemblies have two lines.
