i know there are quite a few people on here that have a 89 GTUs, but does anyone have the 90 GTUs?

 

Yes, there are quite a few with the 90 GTUs, same exact car though.

 

90's are just left over 89's sold in 90.

Some 90 GTUs's even have the VIN stamps changed on the year, where you can see it got re-stamped.

arend the numbers on 90 gtus' only like one or 2 hundred, supposedly the rarest year/trim combo?

 

It's a hard debate, considering most of them are just really '89's sold in the 90 model year, although have an '89 VIN, as Icemark said, some others had the vin changed, so in all honesty all of the GTUs are the 'rarest', since they're all really 89's, just some 'extra' rare cases got restamped. So, it depends on how you consider it.
