GSL-SE engine into S4?

Can I swap a GSL-SE 13B 6-port across into an S4 NA, using stock electronics and manifolds?

I don't think it works, but just making sure.

I don't know why you would want to dot this, but I have seen someone do a 12a turbo swap into a 2nd gen, it looked funny as HELL. the little block sitting in there. oh well to each is their own. from what I heard the 12a turbo scooted inside the 2nd gen. I guess if you have a block lying around and a blown motor in a 2nd gen then maybe you would do that.

Other than that all I can say is an EYE for an EYE and BLOOD for BLOOD.
1. There is nothing wrong with being new

2. Trying to help is also good, the problems start when you give the wrong advice.

3. Almost EVERY post you make needs to be corrected. This is a problem. If you don't know the answer, don't post. Don't guess either, because that just costs the person who listened to your "advice" time and money, and could actually cause further damage to their car or self.

4. Then don't give bad advice or spread misinformation.

5. I consider you a huge post ***** because: a) you post just to give an answer, whether you know what you are talking about or not, b) you post multiple times in one thread, one after another, to get a single idea accross, c) you often reply to yourself, d) you have been here since Nov., have more then 1000 posts, and STILL can't seem to gasp the basics of the car nor the forum.

It could be done for sure, but you'd have to make custom mounts in the car as the 13B from the 1st gen mounts on the front cover, not the center iron. But there's no reason why you couldn't use the stock S4 electronics to run it. If I am not mistaken, the S4 manifolds should bolt up with very little trouble.

You could always put an FC intermediate housing and oil-pan into the GSL-SE motor. You could still use the electronics and manifolds (you never said anything about not wanting to tear the block down)

Actually, you can't. The GSL-SE 13B has the o-ring grooves in the housing, not the center iron like the 86+ 13B does. So they won't fit together.

NM... it was a fleeting thought that is now longer worthwhile. I have assembled an S4 block and will be swinging it in shortly.
